A survey by Bed Slats of 5,438 British professionals suggests a link between sleeping position and financial success. After a hectic day, all we dream about is climbing into the bed and drifting into dreamland. So how do you usually sleep? Are you a back sleeper, or a side sleeper? Or is it the soldier or fetal position? Well, your
sleeping position
could tell a lot about your life. In fact, your sleeping position could also hint at your financial condition!
With the arrival of the winter season, online searches about the ‘best position to sleep in’ have surged by 250%, and researchers have found an interesting link between your sleeping position and professional career success.
The survey by Bed Slats, with inputs from 5,438 working professionals from Britan, revealed that the sleeping position might be a predictor of your financial potential.
According to the survey, about a third, which is 29% of these individuals sleep in a ‘free fall position’, and they are high-earners. These people sleep on their stomachs with their heads to one side and their arms wrapped around the pillow. Body language experts predict that high earners are natural risk-takers and they tend to leap first and ask questions later. Though this sleeping position is associated with the high earners according to the survey, experts often alert that this posture could result in severe neck pain.
The fetal position is the most common style, where the individual sleeps curled up. 29% of the individuals in the survey sleep in this cozy position. It is followed by the pillow hugger position (24%), the thinker position (13%), and the soldier position (10%).
The study also revealed that the top earners sleep an average of 6 hours and 55 minutes, which is 22 minutes more than the low earners. The top earners also wake up at 6:42 am, while the average earner wakes at 7: 06 am.
Researchers have studied the best sleeping positions. Your sleeping positions should align with your concerns. If you have low back pain, side, fetal, and back positions are better. Sleeping on your left side is effective if you have acid reflux.
