Amidst their tight schedule preparing for the ongoing Pakistan series and the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy against India, Australian cricketers took a break and took part in a fun challenge where they tried to match a cricket term in English to their Hindi and Urdu counterparts.

Unsurprisingly, batter Usman Khawaja got the terms all correct due to his fluency in both the languages while Pat Cummins, Glenn Maxwell, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Marsh recalled their times in the Indian Premier League where they encountered these terms, ultimately getting most of them right.

Meanwhile, on the work front, the Aussies after losing the ODI series against Pakistan will now take on the Men in Green for the first of a 3-match T20I series on Thursday. The second and third matches are on Saturday and Monday at Sydney and Hobart respectively.

Wicket-keeper Josh Inglis will be the stand-in captain for Pat Cummins and Mitchell Marsh in T20 series against Pakistan.

Inglis was promoted as skipper ahead of senior players including Glenn Maxwell, Adam Zampa, and Marcus Stoinis. ODI captain Cummins was rested for the third and final one-dayer in Perth on Sunday along with Test regulars Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Marnus Labuschagne, and Steve Smith.

They will now move on to prepare for the upcoming five-match Border Gavaskar Trophy series against India, starting in Perth on November 22. Selectors recalled Hazlewood for the second ODI after he missed the first match to play Sheffield Shield cricket. Meanwhile, T20 captain Marsh and opener Travis Head are on paternity leave.

Festive offer

The series against India will have 5 Tests taking place in Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
