Well, Salman who is 58 years old is reportedly 31 years older than Rashmika who is 27 years. Well, their age gap has led to various reactions and discussions on social media. Netizens have criticized the significant age difference between the actors and have raised opposition to the casting choice. They even said that they compared the pairing to a father-daughter relationship. Well, this is not the first time when Salman has been criticised over his on-screen partner. He was earlier seen in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, with Pooja Hegde and even then also netizens raised questions about the age gap between the two. Rashmika who will be seen in Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rule expressed excitement about this Bollywood opportunity of working with Salman. Netizens have also raised their worries about Rashmika’s role in Sikandar and said that the maker might follow a pattern of being stuck in routine romantic scenes. Rashmika’s fans feel that her talent might not get utilized and her character might just be seen as a love interest for Salman’s character.
On the work front, Rashmika will be seen in Pushpa 2: The Rule alongside Allu Arjun. The film will release on August 15, 2024.
