Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi on Friday said that they hasn’t received any formal communication from Indian cricket board on its national team not travelling to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy.
On Friday morning, the Indian Express learned that India wouldn’t be travelling to Pakistan for next year’s ICC event. The Indian cricket board, in a recent communication to the Pakistan Cricket Board, have cited security concerns for their decision and expressed their desire to play all their games in Dubai.
“Till today, no one has discussed any ‘Hybrid Model’ with us nor are we willing to talk about it. But we have been showing good gestures for the last few years and no one should expect us to do it all the time,” Naqvi told reporters.

“I will take anything written to the government and whatever decision they take we have to follow them,” Naqvi added.
Top eight teams of the world are to take part in the February 19 to March 9 50-overs ICC event that has Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi as host cities. Last year before the Asia Cup, India, despite the pressure from hosts Pakistan, had managed to shift its matches to Sri Lanka.

The last time India travelled to Pakistan was in 2008 for the Asia Cup but since 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks in that same year, the national team hasn’t toured the neighbouring country.
