The White House website underwent significant changes after Donald Trump’s presidency began, with the notable removal of the U.S. Constitution page, which now shows a ‘404 error’. This alteration sparked widespread outrage on social media, prompting questions about the Trump administration’s position on the country’s foundational documents.

The homepage now displays an image of Mr. Trump along with a bold-lettered “America is Back” message. It also carries a message “Every single day, I will be fighting for you with every breath in my body. I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe, and prosperous America that our children deserve and that you deserve. This will truly be the golden age of America.”

The website also carries links to his newly signed executive actions and the administration’s priorities.

But what caught the public interest was the absence of the page of the Constitution from the newly revamped White House website, which displayed an “Error 404” notification along with a “Page not found” message. Additionally, several other pages are showing the same error. Furthermore, the Trump administration has removed the Spanish-language version of the official White House website.

“It’s day two. We are in the process of developing, editing, and tweaking the White House website. As part of this ongoing work, some of the archived content on the website went dormant. We are committed to reloading that content in a short timeline,” said principal White House deputy press secretary Harrison Fields, who was quoted as saying by USA Today.

People expressed their concerns in response to the error message on X, fornerly Twitter. Here are some of the reactions on social media.

Yes, the White House did remove the US Constitution from their website today.

In addition to Spanish lang pages, Women’s Rights page, HIV resources page, & LGBT resources page (and removing words “lesbian,” “bisexual,” “gay,” “transgender,” “sexual orientation,” “gender identity,” & “LGBTQ” from entire website), the US Constitution has been removed. pic.twitter.com/Tk5Nik9YTG

I suggest you give our US Constitution a read. Even though it’s no longer on the White House website, it’s available on the website of the U.S. Senate: Constitution of the United States https://t.co/ENc9FXYtzo
