IPL Points Table 2024, Team Rankings: The Kolkata Knight Riders solidified their standing in the top two with their seventh win of the season from 10 outings as they beat the Mumbai Indians by 24 runs.
As a result of the defeat, MI remain in the bottom half of the points table and are all but out of playoffs contention.
Sunrisers Hyderabad secured a thrilling one-run win over Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday.
Chasing 202, Rajasthan fell short by a solitary run in a pulsating chase. The Royals remain on top despite their second loss of the season. Meanwhile, SRH jumped up to the fourth spot with 12 points in their sixth win.

The playoff scenario
RR, KKR, LSG and CSK are the four sides that are currently in the top four. The top four teams will qualify for the IPL 2024 playoffs. The top two teams will play in the first Qualifier with the winner going straight into the final. The Eliminator will be played between the teams who are placed third and fourth in the IPL 2024 standings. The winner of the Eliminator will lock horns against the losing team of Qualifier 1. The winner of the Qualifier 2 will enter the final, which will be held at May 26.
