India vs England, IND vs ENG 2nd T20I Predicted Playing 11 Today Match: After getting thrashed in the first T20I England will look to square the series in the 2nd T20I in Chennai on Saturday. Though they have one of the fearsome batting lineups in world cricket facing spin seems to be a chink in their armours.
The likes of Varun Chakravarthy, Ravi Bishnoi, and Axar Patel could squeeze the free-stroking English players on Wednesday. On the contrary, the English attack consisting of four pace bowling options and a couple of spin options could not trouble Abhishek Sharma who seemed like was batting on a different surface altogether.
Let us look at the combinations and crucial points of game
Spin to win
When India went in with just Arshdeep Singh as the only frontline seamer alongside Hardik Pandya as the second seamer on a decent Kolkata pitch a few eyebrows were raised. However, given how dominant spinners were on a wicket that had little assistance for spin at Eden Gardens India will carry on with the same team in Chennai on a surface in which tweakers have had traditionally more success in the past.
Arshdeep’s new ball threat
While the spinners have done quite a damage not just to England but many other teams that have come up against India in recent times, Arshdeep Singh with the new ball has been creating breakthroughs in the Powerplay and not letting the teams get away for a flier. Started as a bowler with primary strength of swing and yorker bowling Arshdeep has now evolved into an all-phase bowler with a lot of tricks up his sleeve on different wickets.
Rehan Ahmed in
The England team went with four seamers in the opening game which turned out to be one too many. For the second game on Chennai wicket where spinners come into play a bit more England might be tempted to go with Rehan Ahmed who in his short career so far has shown has the temperament to deliver the goods under pressure situations.
