Hidden signs of breast cancer your body may be showing

is one of the common cancers in women worldwide. The 2022 statistics collected by the World Health Organisation shows that around30% of women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year and it has caused over 6,70,000 deaths till date.

Over the past 5 years, the survival rate for breast cancer has been increasing steadily and it has crossed the 90% mark of being out of dager.

It is not that all will experience symptoms at the early stage of cancer. A combination of multiple symptoms is evident when the disease is advanced and that is why it is necessary to check yourself often for a change in the body. This is also called self-examination, which is highly recommended by oncologists.

An abnormal look of your breast is the first indication of this common malignancy in women. A breast lump, thickening, change in size, shape and appearance that happens without pain might be a symptom of breast cancer. New boils, redness or change in appearance of nipple, discharge of bloody fluid is also an important symptom.

All breast lumps need not be cancerous but it is important to not let it spread to lymph nodes which might cause cancer. It is important to seek advice of a health expert in case you spot something like that.

Itchy skin is not a common symptom of breast cancer but it may appear due to the changes in the skin. A persistent itching accompanied with other symptoms is a wake up call to get a proper evaluation done quickly.
