What is Kanji?

Kanji is a traditional fermented beverage from India that has special health advantages. Rich in herbs, vegetables, and spices, this probiotic beverage ferments for three to four days to create a hydrating and nutritious beverage. In Indian homes, kanji is especially popular in the cooler months. A variety of ingredients, including mustard seeds, haldi, and amla, are used to make kanji.

Why should one use Amla and Haldi in Kanji?

Amla is a nutrient powerhouse, especially for vitamin C, which is essential for boosting immunity, encouraging good skin, and warding off infections.
Turmeric or haldi are well-known for their antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties. Curcumin, the main ingredient in turmeric, has been demonstrated to have numerous health advantages, such as lowering inflammation, enhancing digestion, and promoting liver function.

Benefits of drinking this probiotic drink:

Increases Immunity

Vitamin C-rich amla (Indian gooseberry) boosts immunity and guards against the flu and colds. Curcumin, a potent antioxidant found in kachi haldi (raw turmeric), combats inflammation and infections.

Enhances digestion

Kanji’s probiotic properties help digestion, prevent bloating, and promote gut health.

Cleanses the body

While kachi haldi serves as a natural cleanser and maintains the health of the liver and skin, amla aids in the removal of pollutants. Amla Haldi Kanji’s turmeric and other spices, like as cumin and ginger, are believed to have liver-cleansing qualities. Curcumin, a substance found in turmeric in particular, aids in inflammation reduction and liver detoxification.

Beautifies skin and hair

The anti-inflammatory qualities of kachi haldi and the antioxidants in amla enhance skin texture, lessen dryness, and provide a natural glow. Amla prevents winter dryness and hair loss by nourishing hair from the inside out.

Offers warmth and energy

In cold weather, fermented kanji increases metabolism and provides warmth and long-lasting energy.

Reduces joint pain

The anti-inflammatory properties of kachi haldi can help reduce joint discomfort and arthritis, which are frequently made worse by the winter months.
