Of all the hair issues that exist, we would all agree that
dandruff
is the most stubborn and perplexing. Dandruff, one of the most prevalent hair issues, can be dangerous. During the harsh and dry winter months, dandruff can become a major issue, causing itching and flaking. It can occasionally also be the cause of your phobia of wearing dark clothing. Even if there are hundreds of anti-dandruff shampoos on the market, if you’re still not happy with the results, it’s time to look for natural solutions in your kitchen cabinet.
Aspirin shampoo
Many medicated dandruff shampoos contain salicylic acid, the same active component as in aspirin. Crush two aspirins into a fine powder and mix it with the regular amount of shampoo you use every time you wash your hair to prevent flaking. After letting the combination sit on your hair for one to two minutes, thoroughly rinse it out and give it another wash with regular shampoo.
Apply Cider Vinegar
This is among the most popular methods for treating dandruff with apple cider vinegar. In addition to preventing dandruff, this rinse will clean the scalp and give your lifeless hair a glossy finish. It also provides your hair with the much-needed nourishment it requires by thoroughly cleansing the hair and scalp. After diluting the apple cider vinegar with a cup of water, set it aside and tousle it for hair. As usual, wash and condition your hair. Rinse the conditioner out, then evenly apply the diluted apple cider vinegar to your scalp, rubbing it into your hair strands. Repeatly rinse with cold water.
Neem hair mask
Neem’s antimicrobial and antifungal qualities lessen the negative effects of dry scalp, dandruff, and scalp infections. It can stop hair loss and dandruff since it is full of fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamin E, and other vital minerals. Improved blood circulation in the scalp makes your roots stronger and healthier, which in turn makes your hair healthier, stronger, and glossier. This mask is made by adding amla juice and crushed neem to boiling water, then letting it cool for ten to fifteen minutes. Apply this mixture all the way down your hair to your scalp. To allow your scalp to absorb the nutrients, massage it for three to five minutes. Now give it a gentle shampoo and warm water rinse.
Tea tree oil massage
Because of its strong antibacterial and antifungal qualities, tea tree oil is a common ingredient in premade shampoos for dry scalp and dandruff. A simple DIY is to massage a few drops of tea tree oil into your scalp, combine it with coconut, jojoba, or olive oil, and let it sit for at least ten minutes before washing it off. Before using any heat equipment, allow your hair to air dry after removing the mask. Before blow-drying, let your hair air dry at least 80%, or occasionally wear it naturally. Furthermore, excessive blow-drying might exacerbate dry scalp.
Aloe Vera gel
How can dandruff be prevented in the easiest way? Aloe vera gel is the easy solution. It is a well-known moisturizing component that supports the health of your hair and treats dry scalp that causes dandruff. It provides the scalp with all the nutrients it needs, leaving your hair silky and free of frizz. After extracting the gel from an aloe vera leaf, scoop it into a sanitized basin. Mix it until a uniformly smooth paste is formed. To make it thinner, you may also add some water. Aloe vera gel that is organic is also available. Put the mask on your hair and scalp. Before washing it off, let it sit for an hour.
Lemon juice and coconut oil
Vitamin C and antimicrobial qualities found in lemon juice help to remove excess oil from the scalp, which can cause buildup or flaky hair. Coconut oil is one of the best hair oils for dandruff since it is full of antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that help treat a scaly scalp and lessen dryness. To apply, mix 4-5 tablespoons of coconut oil with 1-2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Rub it on your scalp with a cotton ball after giving it a good stir. After 15 to 20 minutes, shampoo your hair out of it. For optimal effects, repeat the procedure once every seven days.
